Maria Agnes is a London based stylist and fashion designer, founder of slow-fashion label mariañes and before that ready to wear label BLCKHRT. 

Mariañes showcases beautiful handmade garments in premium silks and organic cottons, using natural dyes alongside accessories that contemporise classic Ikat designs produced by skilled artisans from across the Indonesian archipelago. 

Her designs reflect both her wanderlust and her love of meditation - think freedom, simplicity and uninhibited flow.

Her first label BLCKHRT sold in stockists including Topshop, ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Oak NYC and IT Hong Kong and was nominated Best New Label by International Sportswear Magazine in 2011. 

Maria Agnes’ designs have appeared in ELLE Magazine, New York Magazine, Sportswear International and Refinery 29 and The Snobette.

Maria's approach to styling is effortlessly expressive, built on a deep understanding of contemporary fashion and a sure instinct for what works.

Her style is minimalist, built on strong shapes and silhouettes, creating ensembles where every piece sings. She likes to mix masculine and feminine, drawing on a kaleidoscope of influences and styles from vintage to contemporary.
